TIMARU RACECOURSE, April 23
The South Canterbury Jockey Club's Autumn Meeting was continued to-day. The following are the results up to the time of going to press: —
COUNTY PLATE, of 30 soys; six furlongs — Firebrand, 7st 13lb, 1; Rye, 9st, 2; Kuicracker, 9st, 3. Won by two lengths. Time — Imin 18sec. Dividends — £1 10s and £3 9s.
The rider of Phaetonitis was fined £1 by the starter.
HACK RACE; six furlongs— Black Tracker 1, Wangoinona 2. The 'only starters. B.ack Tracker led frcin staro to finish, and won by thirty lengths. Time — Imin 25isec. Dividend — 18s.
SOUTH CANTERBURY JOCKEY CLUB HANDICAP, of 80 sov3; one mile— Secret Society, Sat slb, 1; Zealous, 6st 13lb, 2; ArdnariT, Bst, 3. Hypnotist also started. Secret Society led from start to finish, -and won easily by two lengths. Time — Imin 42sec. Dividend—£l 7s.
