I \ do not take these pills according to the directions, as I am satisfied witih the good ; effect a few doses, taken occasionally, will bring me, but if anybody is a chronic sufferer amd uses these pills they should persevere with, them, and they will most assuredly effect a- cure. lam only too ready to speak for so sterling ai medicine, and Doan's Backache Kidney Pills is all' this. I lack of intei'est in cycle racing," writes " Actsaon " in the Auckland " Star," "it being impossible for the riders to put up any very fast times on the present Domain track.' "We have the material for the development of fast cyclists, and with a properly banked track there would soon be a class of riders who.se speed would make tbeir contests interesting for the spectators, and would make cycle meetings profitable to the promoting clubs. The proposal to form a half-mile grass, track on Freeman's Bay Recreation Ground is not favourably viewed by cyclists. Such a track is far too large from a spectator's point of view, and very few evele meetings would be held on it. A banked track, six laps to the mile, would not occupy a great deal of space, and would undoubtedly prove a very profitable speculation for the City Council." " Actaeon "is quite right. The laying down of an asphalt track in Auckland would result in a tremendous boom in the sport there.
