AUTUMN - MJBETJNG. The Canterbury Jockey Grub's Autumn J Meeting will begin -at Riccarton an Monday. Present indications favour the idea that the g__Kwi_g I -will be more t___ usually successful. Visitor* __ve been arriving in large numbers during the iust day or two, and, with fine weather, there is sure to he> a big attendance. The principal race on the firet day is the Great Easter Handioap, for which the Yaldhurst i'lutee-year-cM, OrLoff, is a firm j favourite. The field by miich ihe will bo opposed include, a number of fine sprinters, j among whom St Denis, Pampero, Peiiaroviva j and Lady Lillian -have many adimirers. The j race looks like providing an interesting contest. The -Champagne St_ke_ field, though small, is very select, all those -left in having I claim, to be reckoned i-n the; firs* class.
