ANOTHER VEILED LADY.
GERMAN NAVAL CAPTAIN ON TRIAL FOR ESPIONAGE. The appearance of a veiled lady at the trial oif a Captain Kayser before the Naval Court at Wiihelniehaven caused much curipsity throughout Germany. Kajser was charged with a 'rimilar crime to that alleged against Dreyfus, several secret signal books emta-UAfcad to him having mysteriously disa.p_xa.-x-d. TVie defence claimed tha. Kaysar was only guilty of neglect, since he himself had no knowledge how the books were stolen, The formen Chief of t(he Admiralty S'bolz, Admiral Diederiebs, and Captain Lans, the gallant commander of the gunboait litis, were among; the witnesses against the defendant. The veiled lady, who. is apparently young and had a line figure, gave evidence for the Crown. The appearance of this lady secret service agent recalls the* famous "veiled lady" of the Di^yfus case.
