One would havo thought it as impossible to extract a joke from " God Save the King" as to gut sunbeams out of a cucumber, but the wit of an American journalist has been equal to the occasion. He said] that when his Majesty on a recent occasion sat down to play bridge with Mr Pierpont Morgan, tbe keen-witted bandmaster at once began to play " God Save the Bang."
