Barnardo defeated King Stork over a fast mile in lmin 47eoc, and ■Lolah finished in front of Firebrand and Ropu ov^s six furlonga mn in lmin 13 2-saec. Clanburn, alone, covered eix f uriongs in, lmin 18J Bec. Ro3emero was given «i sprinting "ia^k, •and Lady liiHian compassed a circuit, finishing fast over the last half-mile at three-quarter speed and moving freely. Pallas (L. Thompeon) and Welbeck Cl'- Mathie) were companions in w mile' and w. quarter gailop. Pallas^ who was quickest away, goon established a Jead of two lengths. Lavniette, who was stationed at the mile post to join them, got badiy Rwaj r , a-nd was- unable to catch the lender, who running on strongly finished several lengths in front. • Welbeck had lost ljttlo grpund until half-way down the straight, where he apneared to have had enough, and finished close' behind Lavaietie. Th'e times for (he various stages of the gallop' were as follow; — First two furlongs, 26Jsec; six furlongs, lmin 198eo; laat mile, lmin 463ec; and the full distance in 2min 13*3c, nlthough several watches made it half a, second faster. It was a good gallop on the part of Pallas, who finished very well /and appeared ss though he could hsve gone faster. After breakfast Secret Society and Aniigone galloped a mile in lmin 46 2-sscc. The former, who finished under a pull, is at present in rare fettle, and is moving very pleasingly. Boyal Standard and Santa Mario galloped half a- mile in 52 l-53ec, the former finishing in front. Zealous compassed two circuits at a sound haJf-speed, and' the following horses were given useful tasks:— lyharki, Ayrdale, Gladis'la, Brave Heart, Dirk, Calibre and Muscovite. • /
