The Australians were to begin a, match against another team selected to represent the South of England, at Bournemouth, today, but owing to heavy rain play was abandoned for the day.. ' " The following is the team selected to represent the South of England:— -Woods, Sprott, Woods (Leicestershire), Fry, Arnold, Gill, Board, Vine, Tate, Brockwell and another. At a. meeting of the committee of . the Linwood Cricket Club held on Wednesday last, correspondence was read from the Neir Brighton Club with regard to a match on Saturday next. It wag decided to leave the East Belt at half -past one o'clock sharp by a conveyance. Mr A, Hobbs elected the club's delegate on the .Canterbury Cricket Association. Five new members were elected.
