GERMANY, AMERICA AND JAPAN SUPPLY THE STREET MERCHANTS. Germany, France, Japan, and the United States are busy preparing for the London Coronation penny kerbstone merchant. Never before in history liave so many " special penny lines " been got ready for the tray of the street hawker. V11.," done on neat metal brooches, ladies' bracelets with tiny hearts bearing a pleasing portraits of her Majesty, Coronation seaside paikandi other toys embellished with pictures of their Majesties, views of Westminster Abbey, the Coronation chair, the royal crown, and maps of the British Empire are prominent among, the penny articles that are to ,oome out for the delectation of Coronation crowds. "A self -locking money-box with portraits of King and Queen, quite a range of penny " Coronation puzzles," glass boxes in whack there are little balls to oe shaken into cavities in the royal crown, mirrors with th« itoyal photographs at the back, and portraits in white metal frames are among the other things at the same nimble price, while a. ''Coronation panorama" with magnifying : glass and handle witfo which to- tuni the viewa round is a marvel of penny ingenuity. Necklaces with, the royal crown as pendant, Ihollow balls with "Coronation, June, 1902," printed 'upon them/ and trumpets with topical pictures on their glaring surfaces are a few of the very cheap peainy surprises. ■
