t A BRILLIANT SPECTACLE. THE DOWAGER AND THE FOREIGNERS. (Received Jan. 8, 9.32 a.m.) LONDON; Jan. 7. .Thousands of officials received the Emperor and the Dowager Empress 0 Pekin, niding in yellow palanquins.' , A brilliant cavalcade, with 'banners and umbrellas, escorted the Royal pair. The route to the palace, which was four miles long/- was lined by kneeling troops. The Dowager saw some foreigners peering down upon the procession, and bowed to them.
