+ PLAIN SPEAKING BY A MAGISTRATE. [Per Peess Association".] DUNEDIN, Jan. 6. Charles Peake and William A. Low were brought before Mr Graham, S.M., this morning, on a charge of attempting to rob. The cas* was dismissed, the Magistrate ruling that there was no evidence to support .'.the charge, '.'.but said' that .had itbeen brought as a' case of assault ho would have inflicted live severest penalty possible, being determined to put down larrikinism.
