A SUICIDE'S ECCENTRICITY.

A curious case of suicide has been report-^ ; cd by the liner Buffalo, which put into Falmouth with her thrust shaft broken after drifting aimlessly for seventyttwo hour;---w-li-lo 250 miles off Sicily. During the voyage, from New York ft saloon passenger named Joy, fifty-four years of nge, took his life by means of poison. In a letter loft- by Joy addressed to tlift captain, the former stated that he came on • board with the exprfss puroose of destroying himself, and gave explicit insiructioiiß as°to the disposal of his belongings, a portion, of which were to be sent to Josephine Joy, who is supposed to be his wife. He also stipulated that his body should bs buried at sea, a wish that was carried out, and left several gifts for the stewards, as some recompense for the trouble that his act would cause them.
