ENTERTAINMENTS.
One of the most enjoyable entertainments ever given in Lyttelton was that provided by the Cornwall Carnival Company . m the Oddfellows' Hall, Winchester Street, last night; and it appealed so much to the taste of the audience that they were almost .too exacting in the matter of encores. " c "™°- ists, Miss Cornwall, Miss Q**™ A * °°™- wall, and Messrs Kistle and Francis Cornwall all gained emphatic expressions i ot approval, and even some of the concerted vocal numbers were redemandod, Tbe^stnimental selections of the " Spanish Band, admirably played, were exceedingly P°P«I«» as were the very clever performances in handbell ringing and glass-ringing..
