SYDNEY, Sept, 19. Mora has been the medium of a large amount of betting on the Melbourne Cup, all the money available at 100 to 3, 100 to 4 and 100 to 5 being exhausted here. Simultaneously good commissions were placed on the Melbourne and Adelaide markets. Altogether about £23,000 was secured, and it transpires that the business was done on behalf of her owner. She now divides favouritism with Le Yar and Wait-a-Bit. MELBOURNE, Sept. 19. Owing to the probability of Cranberry going to England, and the consequent cancellation of his Victorian engagements, he has dropped out of the betting quotations.
