PRESENTATIONS.

A meeting of the Canterbury Pharmaceutical Association was held at Warners Hotel last evening. Mr H. I. Hobden-, i president, occupied the chair, and there were about thirty members present. After adopting the draft rules brought down by ! the committee, the Chairman annoiuieetf I that opportunity would be taken o__thfe i occasion to bid good-bye to Mr- F. Reni sbaw, who for seven years had been travel- \ ler for tho Christchurchi house of Messrs [ Kempthorne, Prosser and' 'Co., and whc was leaving to take the management of the Auckland branch of Messrs Sharland and Co. On behalf of the Canterbury Pharmaceutical . Association he presented, Mr Renshaw with a handsome marble clock, suitably inscribed, as a token of the regard in which, he was held by the members of the Association. Mr W. R, Cooke, on behalf of the chemists of Canterbury, handed Mr Renshaw an illuminated address, which had been executed at- the "Lyttelton Times" Office, and to which--' were appended the signatures of/a lai'ge number of the trade. In doing so he expressed the regret of tbe trade at Mr Renshaw's departure, and wished himisuccess in his new sphere. Sir D. B. Lo.w, manager of tbe Christclmrch branch of Messrs Kempthorne, Presser and Co.. also -spoke of the sterling manner in which Mr Renshaw had served the firm, and announced that Mr J. D. Lawrence would' be liis successor. The health of the recipient was drunk with musical honours, and Mr Renshaw suitably replied. Yesterday MrRenshaw was the recipient of a framed set of photographs of his confreres- from; his? ■ fellow-employees.
