SCHOOL COMMITTEES.
Ihe monthly meeting of the Rangiora School Committee was held last .'evening • present— Messrs J. Marshall (chairman;, p' Ball, H. Boyd, W. H. Gillespie, H. L Rogers and W. H. Foster. The names of twelve children who had attended'. irregularly were handled! ih by tlie master, and it was decided to serve the usual notice on the parents. The detail's of the marks obtained by the pupil 1 teachers, all of whom passed their examinations, were read, and it was resolved' to convey to ihe head-master an expression of the' committee's gratification at the satisfactory results. The annual excursion was fixed for March 9, and Messrs Marshall, Jennings and the head-master were appointed' a committee to arrange an entertainment to provide funds for the outing. Messrs Gillesnie and Luxton were appointed a Visiting Committee for the month.
