ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
A telegram was received at fhe Christchurch Police Station to tiie ell'-jct that a lad named William Brown died suddenly at Oxford yesterday. It appears that the deceased was subject to fit-*, and had one on the road yesterday, from which ho did not recover. An inquest will be held. • This afternoon Mrs Smith, widow of the late proprietor of the Wairnakeriki Sawmills, Le Bon's Bay, died somewhat suddenly at her residence on the Ferry Road. She had appeared in lier usual health, and had been engaged in housework during the day. " . .
