FOOTBALL.
.The annual meeting of the Kowai Football Club was held in the Sefton Town Hall on Friday evening. There were only five members present. Owing to the number of playing members who have left the district, or who have decided to give up the game, it was -resolved to wind up the affairs of the club, and to give the small balance to the schoolboys to purchase a football. ' Tlie annual mieeting of the Canterbury Rugby Union will be held. at the Clarendon Hotel at eight o'clock on' Saturday evening. . A meeting of the Genera! Committee of the Albion Football Club \vas held last evening at the Clarendon Hotel; Twentysix new- members =were elected, and it was decided to* enter two teams for the President's Cup. Arrangements' for trainingroom's were completed, and a Finance Committee was appointed. •■■•'.■■-
