The Otago Jubilee. — To-day Otago. will celebrate her jubilee. Canterbury S6nds greetings in the form of a special number of her leading weekly paper, the Canterbury Times. The number is published to-day, and contains a history of the Province of Otago, from 1848 to 1898, portraits of founders, early settlers and eminent citizens, and views of the settlement and the City of Dunedin at various periods in its history. The numerous illustrations are beautifully executed, and the historical matter is obtained from the most authentic sources, the whole, forming a valuable record. Kaiapoi Rifles. — The annual meeting of the Kaiapoi Rifle Corps will be held at the local drillshed at 7.30 p.m. on Friday.
