At the rabbitskin sales the supply was the smallest on record, and there was the keenest competition at from a penny to twopence advance. At the wool sales prices have slightly advanced. The Tekoa clip realised 9d.
[Per Press Association. 1 WELLINGTON, March 21. The Government produce expert in London reports that though a very small quantity of meat came to hand during the preceding month, trade remained exceptionally dull, with low prices. There is no increase in the demand for New Zealand mutton, and Mr Cameron again urges that producers should seriously consider the best means of extending the market. For the few lambs in the market prices were good, though some of them were by no means creditable specimens.
