Russia, yielding to the Sultan's' appeal, has postponed the payment' of the balance of the Husso-Turkish' war indemnity, and has at the same time accepted an assurance that it will be paid from sources outside the Greek indemnity. It is believed that the concession has been made by Russia with the intention of facili- ' tating the appointment of PrinceGeorge of Greece as Governor of Crete.
