. Tuesday, March 15. (Before Mr S. R. Webb, J.P., and Mr W. ' Cook,J.P.) Obscknb Language. — John Daly, a fireman on board the steamer lonic, was charged with having used obscene language on Nov. 1 last. He pleaded guilty, and was sent to gaol for fourteen days. Alleged Criminal Assault. — Samuel Wright was charged, on remand, with having committed a criminal assault on a child. He was defended by Mr Joyce. After hearing the evidence of the child and that of Dr Pairman, the accused was committed for trial.
