[Per Press Association.] :v ~ AUCKLAND, March 14. ' G. A. Tyler, who broke the New Zealand record for 100 yds in the Graving Dock on Saturday,. afterwards established a world's . sfcraight-away record for the same distance. In the Ladies' Bracelet, Tyler, -who was attired in full swimming costume, and who had already won two races, was a few inches behind the winner of this race, and the official time for the race was 79sec. The limit man's start was 13sec, making Tyler's time for the race a little over 66sec. By a separate official timekeeper, Tyler was timed to have done the distance in 67sec, which is a world's record for a straightaway 100 yds. This time is almost equal to Tyers' bath record, with two turns, of 63{fsec, and is better than P. Cavill's New South Wales record of 66gsec, in which two turns were made.
