FOOTBALL.
The annual meeting of the Sumner Football Club was held on Friday, when Mr N. M'Robie presided. The annual report and balance-sheet were .adopted. Seventeen new members were elected, and the election of officers resulted as follows :— President, Mr W. Bowron; vice-presidents, Messrs A. Binnie, W. Nicholls, J. Buttle, R.M'Conn el, S. P. Andrews, W. Hill, G. Glover, J. Trerise and Rev C. H. Gosset ; club captain, Mr N. M'Robie ; secretary and treasurer, Mr S. M'Harg ; auditor, Mr H. Andrews ; committee, Messrs W, Bamford, J. Killick. J. Milne and R. Butcher ; delegate to the Rugby Union, Mr N. M'Robie. It was decided to open the season on Saturday, March 19.
