Keceired March 13, 4.50 p.m. 1 March 13. : Mrs King's abatement shows that he: I husband went oa?(lsi<se 7 where the iM_dere] jwas evidently lying in wait and shot him jThe perpetrator is- said to be a grave[digger named Cusacfc. He rushed in*o> the ibedroom, saying," Why was I discharged* ?' !and then fired a sboti into the woman's head and a second into her back. H« reappeared a few minutes later, and tfw .woman being alive, lying; on the floor, he ; said, "What, not dead yet?" and then ! shot her through the temple. Themurderei [and his victims have hitherto been on the warmest terms of friendship. The woman is still alive. There is no trace of the murderer.
