In reply to a question by Mr Hogan in the House of Commons, Mr Powell Williams, financial Secretary for the War Office, stated that the War Office authorities would not in future designate colonial meat as foreign meat. The total quantity of wheat and flour afloat for the United Kingdom is estimated at 3,321,000 quarters, and for the Continent at 1,565,000 quarters. Messrs Dalgety. and Company's 4 per cents 115. Other investment shares are unaltered. [Per Press Association.] NEW PLYMOUTH, March 10. *' Up to date 72,000 packages of butter have been shipped from the local freezing works, being 13,000 in excess of the total for the whole of last season, and this notwithstanding the exceptionally dry season. .
