CRICKET.
The annual match between Christ's College and a team selected by Mr E. Blunden was played at Eangiora yesterday, and resulted in a victory for the former by 22 runs. Mr Blunden's team batted first and made 87, Sale (35) and E. Blunden (19) being the highest scorers. The College scored 114 (Fryer not out 64, B. Blunden 18). For the winners the best bowlers were Fryer and Cotterill, and for the other side Chapman and H. Blunden. Owing to Lancaster Park being engaged on Saturday next, the Senior Cup matches between Midland and Sydenham, and Lancaster Park Thirteen and United Thirteen will be continued at Hagley Park.
