A CURIOUS COINCIDENCE.
Tn the matter of Darling having been dismissed at the fifth ball on the second day of the Adelaide test match after putting together 178 on the previous day, there is a curious coincidence to be quoted. Playing against the Englishmen in their first match of the tour, Hill was not out at the end of the first day with a phenomenal score to his credit. Before the game was resumed tho next morning, he was accompanied to the pitch by a photographer, and then, after his partner had made a single, he was dismissed for his total of over-night. Precisely the Bame thing happened to 'Darling at Adelaide. "I meant at first to put the man off," said Darling afterwards, "for I thought of Clem Hill, but I was unwilling to do so."
