BOWLING TOURNAMENT.

P?eb Press Association.] NAPIER, Jan. 28. The bowling tournament ended to-day. There was intense excitement over the concluding game for the championship. Bluff Hill and Wellington were equal with seven wins each, and as the deciding game went on, each alternately led by a point or two up to the last head. This went on, when Bluff Hill won on the last shot of their skip, Laing, by one point only. Wellington, Wanganui, Napier, Palmerston, and Devonport were equal with seven games each, and played off, with the result that Wanganui got second place and Napier third. In inter-club matches Palmerston went up fast, finally tying with Wanganui with ten games each. In playing off Palmerston secured the shield and banner. Bluff Hill was third.
