«. [Per Press Association.! WELLINGTON, Jan. 29. The railway revenue for nine months shows an increase of £83,400 on the similar period of last year. The Bey E. Walked, late of the NewZealand Alliance, has been asked to go to Sydney to assist the editor of the Australian Christian World, and act as editor of the juvenile paper Young Folk. He leaves for Sydney early in March on the expiry of his present six months engagement at Newtown. The San Francisco mail will not reach here till to-morrow night. The Corinna will be detained to take it on southward. The colonial mails of Dec. 27, which left Auckland in the Alameda, arrived in London on Jan. 27, a day late.
