CYCLISTS' ALLIANCE.

The weekly meeting of the executive of, the New Zealand Cyclists' Alliance was held last night. Correspondence was read from the Timaru Tourists' Cycling Club, stating that their annual sports meeting, which had been adjourned on account of the bad weather, would be held on Jan. 27, . . and that entries would be received up to Jan. | 15. The permit was confirmed. From the I Oxford Cycling Club, forwarding a list of I prize-winners at the club's meeting on I Dec. 29. It was decided that any winner j under Alliance rules could allow his prize moneys to be received by the Alliance and accumulated so as to purchase a substantial trophy. The appointment of a consul and referee at the forthcoming championship meeting at Wanganui, and also the question of fixing time limits for champion- : '■■ ship events, were held over till the next weekly meeting. The New Brighton gala* promoters were granted permission to include cycle events on their programme ' for Jan. 27. The weekly meeting of the committee of the Pioneer Bicycle Club was held on Jan. 7; present — Messrs E. E. Daniels, T. E. Chisnall, E. Baldwin, J. L. Carl, W. J. Earlow and C. Myhre. It was resolved to write to Mr Fuehs as to passes at late race meetings. . Mr Daniels moved that a subscription list should be opened on behalf of Mr G. Sturgess, who met with a serious accident on Boxing Day while racing as a member of the club ; also that a list should Le put upon the notice board, and that the club should make a rebate to him of his subscription and entrance fees. This was seconded by Mr Barlow and carried. Accounts to the amount of £G2 .>3 were - jfussed for payment.
