[Per Press Association.! WELLINGTON, Dec. 31. The weather is dull and overcast, but there is no wind, and it threatens to turn to heat. The Manawatu Railway Company has intiilled a ten thousand candle power dynamo to light the station and charge accumulators for lighting the carriages. The plant will light three trains, giving twentyseven sixteen or thirty-six twelve-candle power lamps for nine hours. The light is a great improvement, and enables; the passengers to read comfortably.
