You'll always get home ; no Johnny Armstrong about that." — fArr?,] Ashton School Committee. — At a meeting of the Ashton School Committee, on Tuesday evening, the Inspector's report was read, and considered very satisfactory, and the committee passed a resolution in which tbey expressed their appreciation of the work done. Special mention of Messrs Benjamin and Hill was made for their work during the illness of the master (Mr Mitchell). It was resolved to give prizes to the children as usual. Ellesmere Do3iain Board. — A meeting of the Ellesmere Domain Board was held yesterday afternoon, in the Selwyn County Council offices, to consider tenders for the lease of Ellesmtre Domain reserve of about fifteen acres ; present — Messrs J. Kennie (chairman), J. Wolfe, R, Westenra and Cragg. Four tenders were received, and that of Mr F. Eowell, at 15s 6d, was accepted, the Board to reserve the right to plnnt trees on any portion of the reserve. The meeting then closed.
