f An untamed swallow, whicii had its nest • on a farm near Chetwynd, in Shropshire, i was caught and taken in a cage to Loudon, I where it was released. It returned to its 3 nest in eighty minutes, having accomr plislieda distance of 145 miles at the rate of nearly two miles a minute.
