WORK AND WAGES.
[Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, August 27. The Conciliation Board will be asked to consider a dispute between the Carpenters' Society and certain builders. The Society asks for forty-five hours per week, a minimum rate of ls 4d per hour fqr overtime, holidays to be paid for at the rate of time and a quarter, aud the proportion of apprentices to be one to five tradesmen.
