METHVEN.
On Thursday about 3500 sheep were yarded at the Methven sale, as well as 30 head of cattle and a few pigs, horses, _c. There was a fair attendance of farmers, dealers and others, and good business was done. Amongst the sales were 165 freezing wethers at 10s 7d, 350 mixed freezers at 14s ld, 577 freezing wethers at 14s lld, 192 mixed freezers at 13s 4d, 100 freezing wethers at 16s 4d, 94 mixed freezers at 15s, fat cross-bred ewes at 6s 6d to 8s 6d, hoggets at 6s lld to 9s 2d, mixed,two-, tooths at 8s 3d, cross-bred owes in lamb at 10s 3d, fat merino owes at 6s 4d, storo pigs at 15s 6d and weaners at 6s 6d.
