POLO.
WELLINGTON v. CHRISTCHURCH. The Wellington Polo Club's team, which is to play against the Christchurch Polo Club's first team to-morrow, arrived this morning per Manapouri. The members are Messrs P. E. Baldwin, A. Cooper, C. P. Skerrett and Leonard. Tripp. Ten ponies were brought for the contest. The members of the Christchurch team will probably be Hon E. W. Parker, Messrs Rhodes, Lane and Gould. The match, in which great interest is being taken, will begin at 3 p.m. A second match, against another team, will probably be played on Monday forenoon. The Wellington team has lately played with success against the best teams in the North Island, and good games may be expected.
