! PRECAUTIONS AT MALTA. [Per Press Association.! PARIS, Jan, 20. Owing to the plague the transit of Indian goods is prohibited in France and Algeria. [ CALCUTTA, Jan. 21. Professor Hnff'kine is reported to have discovered a vaccine which acta as a protection against the bubonic plague. In consequence of the spread of the plague in India the authorities at Malta have prohibited all vessels from India calling at that port. A similar interdict has been placed upon steamers from Australia which have called at Aden.
