THE SEAMEN'S UNION. WELLINGTON, Jan. 21.
The Wellington branch of the Seamen's Union has filed the first batch of papers as to the position of the difference which relates to locally-owned steamers. These documents set out that Charles Seager, of the Wellington Steam Packet Company, and the Wellington branch of the Seamen's Union having failed to satisfactorily adjust their dispute, application is made to secure the award of the Wellington Conciliation Board.
