Richmond Amateur Swimming Club. — At the last meeting of the Committee of this club there were present — Messrs H. L. irmitage (in the chair), F. Ward, K. Basso tt, L. D. Armitage, G. Milne and A. '. B. Truscott. Twelve new members were elected A letter was read from Mr W. .Bassett resigning his position as a member ; of the committee owing to business, eni gagoments, and'enclosing a cheque for .£2 r 2s to be devoted to the' prize fund." ,- The : resignation was accepted with regret, and a 1 hearty vote of thanks was passed to Mr > Bassett. The question of engaging a lady ; teacher was left in the hands of Messrs H. L. Armitage and Cr. Milne.
