Funeral. — The funeral of the late -\k* W. H. Spackman took place at the Papanui cemetery, on Saturday afternoon. Tlie soivice was conducted by the Rev H. T. Purchas. Representatives from Canterbury College, the Acclimatisaton Societj", the Anglers' Society, and the legal profession, besides a large number of personal friends, were present. The coffin was decorated with several floral wreaths, and Messrs Marciel, P-ruges, Charlewood and A. M. Ollivier .acted aa pail-bearers. :
