POLITICAL COUNCIL.

A meeting of the Liberal and Labour Political Council was held on Friday, at No. 20, Inglis's Building. The President, Mr Shaw Billcliff, occupied the chair. There was a full attendance of delegates. After dealing with the ordinary business replies were received from Messrs G. Swarm, and H..G. Ell and held over until the selection of candidates. It was deaided to send a deputation to wait on the Tailoresses and Pressers' Union to explain tlie position the Council had taken np in connection with the rules. The Secretary was instructed to take necessary steps for taking the ballot. The Secretary was directed to write to the candidates who had not replied requesting them to reply at once, a3 t^ie ballot would take place as _oon as possible. 7 y'y
