• IN CHAMBERS. .Friday, Sept. 11. (Before his Honor Mr Justice Denniston.) His Honor sat in Chambers at 11 a.m. ELL V. HARPER. In reference to the motion for an order for the examination of the Official Assignee MrCaygill asked if his Honor could °give any intimation when he would be able to hear the application. His Honor said that it was. impossible for him to say when he would return from the south. The application could stand over till next Chamber sitting. BE HENRY BTJCKETT, DECEASED. On the application of Mr Flesher, his Honor made an order confirming the Registrar's report re commission herein. RE MATTHEW BAXTER, DECEASED An application by Mr Flesher for commission herein was referred to the Registrar to report. ° SOUTH CANTERBURY BUILDING AND INVESTMENT COMPANY V. KING. In reference to the summons to strike out statement of defence herein, Mr Kippenberger stated that negotiations for settlement were pending, and he would ask that the matter might be allowed to stand over. The application was ordered to stand over accordingly. ADAMS V. ADAMS AND OTHERS. Mr Beswick, for the defendant, appeared in support of a motion to fix a day for the trial of the action. Mr Kippenberger appeared for the plaintiff. After discussion, his Honor said that the case could stand over till the November sittings. PROBATES, ETC. His Honor granted probate of the will of Edward Circuit Latter, deceased, on the application of Mr Beswick. "Letters of administration were granted of the estates of Elizabeth Arklie (Mr Ritchie), Mary Ann Smith (Mr Loughnan), George Griffiths (Mr Brown). SMITH V. THE PUBLIC TRUSTEE. On the application of Mr Kippenberger, His Honor made an order to serve notice on all adult beneficiaries and on the fathers and mothers of infants. TOMLINSON V. MYERS. His Honor fired the hearing of this action for 11 a.m. on Oct. 7.
