ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.

[Per Press Association.] AUCKLAND, August 27. At a crush at the sates, in getting into Potter's Paddock, at the Auckland v. Wellington football match, on Saturday, A. Logan, son of Eobert Logan, the wellknown yacht -builder, got accidentally jammed against a post and died yesterday, inflammation of the stomach setting in. Ho was well-known in athletic circles. Ernest Whitley, aged fourteen, accidentally fell down the well of a lift at Messrs Hayman and Co.'s, while putting a case on the lift. Ho fell thirty-seven feet, and was removed to the hospital in an unconscioxis condition. He is a son of Mr W. S. Whitley, importer. Shortly after the commencement of the football match at Lancaster Park, yesterday, Harry TTru, captain of the Ngai tv Ahuriri team, collided with an opponent, their legs crossed and Urn's left leg was broken below the knee. He was taken to the hospital.
