Richmond Amateur Swimming Club. — The members of this club held a very enjoyable musical " social" in the Linwood Football Club's rooms last night. Mr George Milne occupied the chair. The Committee had drawn up a capital programme, which included songs by Messrs A. L. Alexander, H. L. Armitage, J. R. Butterfield, H. Goodwin, W. Collins, R. Ward and G. Robinson, recitations by Messrs A. R. Kirk, H. L. Armitage and R. Ward, piccolo • solos by Mr W. M'Clurg, pianoforte solos by Messrs C. Walsh and H. Hobbs, the two last-named acting as accompanists. The catering was ably carried out by Mr ; J. Howey. The evening's entertainment was brought to a close at eleven o'clock with the singing of the club's song, "Swim, Boys, Swim," and "Auld Lang Syne."
