THE TRAVELS OF A BILL,
A Wellington business man lias, says the New Zealand Times, just had returned to him a bill for the small sum of three shillings odd sent out to one of his customers, which has-been round the globe. First of all it was sent to a country town in New Zealand. The person for whom it was intended had left for England. The relentless bill followed him there, but the gentleman had gone to France. The letter was Bent after him, ; and by the time it reached Paris the 'gentleman had returned to England. Back-came the little bill, and once more it missed the mark. He had gone to another part of England, but the small /'account was after him oiice more with all the tenacity of a blooclhourid." This . time it wJ was safely delivered. The gentleman got the bill, and the tradesman has got it back again with the word "refused" written across ifc That little bill has been constantly on the move since September; it has chased a man nearly 40,000 miles, and it isn't settled yet.
