SPREYDON.
The monthly meeting of this Board was held on Wednesday, May 7 ; present— Messrs -W. H. Manbire (chairman), J. T. Brown, D. Handisides and J. Hocking. The annualmeeting, which was tohayebeenheld oh the same day, was postponed for a month, as the balance-sheet had not been audited. The Sydenham Borough Council wrote informing the Board that it had .acquired 16a 2r 22p of land in this" district for a cemetery. The Clerk was directed to acknowledge the letter. From Mr Joyce, in reference *to Leitch and Dunn Streets. It was decided that as the roads had not been dedicated to the Board it declined to take any responsibility. The consideration of the payment of the charitable aid subsidy was deferred to the next meeting. The City Council asked permission to sink a trial deep well in Wilderness Road. The matter was postponed for further par.ticulars. Mr C. A. Manning wrote, applying for the office of ranger. The agreement with the present ranger was annulled, and C. A. Manning was appointed for the present month. Mr Berry's tender for kerbing the lower end of Rosewarne Street was accepted. ..:■. ' ■•■
