Dryad through the strait. The Sultan took alarm at this action, and, at midnight^ sent Said and Tewfik Pashas to beg for delay. CONSTANTINOPLE, Nov. 29. Kurds killed two hundred^eople at Jar talon, in the Van district. 'One hundred and. fifty thousand Armenians are starving in the Anatolia district. The palace clique over-ruled the advice to the Sultan to concede 1 the demands of Great Britain, Russia; France (the Powers which instituted ection) and Austria and Germany for additional gunboats in the Bosphorus, but supports the remainder of the demands, y / CONSTANTINOPLE, Nov. 30. „ Sir P. Currie had an interview with the Sultan which , lasted two hours, and despite the endeavours of that Monarch' to persuade him to alter hia determination, he insisted on ordering H.M.S. Dryad up; to the capital. The European Cabinets are considering the grave nature of the situation. ' • 5 CONSTANTINOPLE, Dec. 1. H.M.S. Dryad has returned to Salonica., , ..
