At the inquest at Palmerston on Freeland, Profesßor Blacksaid an analysis of the stomach disclosed the presence of an excessively email quantity of strychnine. I It would require five hundred times as much to cause death. Dr Neale was of 1 opinion that death was due to strychnine in other partis of the body. A verdiofc of "Suicide" waa returned. , INVEECABGILL, Sept. 6. John N. Eose has been committed for trial* for attempting to murder W. J, Kiesell by striking him with an axe. Beginald Septimus Winter, an elderly married man, who arrived three months ago' from Australia, attempted to commit suioide by catting his throat with a razor this morning, but the wound is not serious. He had been before the Court two months ago on a charge of unsound mind, but was discharged. '
