STEAMER ON FIRE.
CHARCOAL INSULATION AGAIN. . [Special to Pbess Association.] LONDON, August 26. When the P. and O. Company's steamer Rome was three hundred miles from the Australian coast, the charcoal in the refrigerating room was fonnd to be on fire, and nine hundred sheep had to be taken out before it could be extinguished. There waa no panic on board. It is believed that the charcoal was on fire before the steamer left Sydney, The engineer reports that a portion of the butter was damaged,
