CANTERBURY V. WELLINGTON.
The Selection Committee of the Canterbury Eugby Union, Messrs W. J. Cotterill, F. T. Evans and G. H. Mason, met on Saturday evening and selected the following team to represent Canterbury in the match against Wellington at Lancaster Park on Saturday next :— Full-back: S. Orchard. Three-quarter-backs: F. I. Cowlishaw, A. Hobbs and J. O'Brien. Five-eighths: ' A. E. White. Half-back: A. E. Cook. Wing forwards: L. Oram and Johnston. Forwards: ST. Lynskey, H. Frost, Fanning, Eerr, Soffe, Fraser and Duke* The following players are requested to continue training: — Backs: Lorimer, Stringer and Glendinning j forwards: Forest, Fitzgerald and Appleby. In the event of the Selection Committee considering that Hobbs is not sufficiently recovered to play Lorimer will take his place. A meeting of the representative team and emergencies will be held at Ford's training rooms at 7.30 p.m. to-day.
